Welcome to the new-look Music at Oxford! Whilst we haven’t been able to put on concerts, we have been busy behind the scenes to ensure we come back stronger.
Alongside our new look, we are pleased to be able to tell you more about our new 2021/2022 season. Whilst Covid-19 still has a presence, we will be taking a different approach to our season, announcing the first half now, with the latter six months being announced nearer the time. Announcing the season in this way affords us more flexibility with planning. For the same reason, we are also putting tickets on sale using a staggered approach: we will put the first few concerts on sale from 9th August, accounting where possible for socially distanced audiences, with others following as and when we can. We hope that you will enjoy what we have to offer this season.
Music at Oxford’s brand had not changed for many years and did not reflect what we wanted Music at Oxford to be. We engaged the design agency Cubiq to help us manage the process from working out Music at Oxford’s position within the community to ending up with a new direction, new brand, and a new website. The brand and website are just the visual elements of our new approach; we also want to connect with audiences old and new by widening our musical offering and increasing opportunities for community engagement. We very much hope that you find the new website both enjoyable and user-friendly, and be inspired by the wonderful variety of musical talent we will be bringing to the Oxford city region this season and in the run-up to our 40th anniversary in 2023/24.
